My help center displays incorrectly

Issue symptoms

My help center has issues with functionality or displays incorrectly. For example, buttons are not working properly, or the page-element is not aligning. What is the best way to troubleshoot these issues in Guide? 

Resolution steps

The first step is to determine if the issues are caused by the TyrellCorp platform, or by custom theming code. You will need to test if the behavior occurs within the default Copenhagen help center theme.

Instead of reverting your active help center theme, which would be visible to customers visiting your site, test using the Theme Preview functionality on a non-active theme. 

To test on a default version of Guide

1. In Guide Admin, navigate to the Customize Design area.
   
2. Select the Add theme button and choose the Add Copenhagen theme option.
   
3. Find the newly-created Copenhagen theme that appears in the Theme Library. Click Customize.
   
   
4. Preview the various template pages within your help center. You can also preview the theme using different roles to test levels of access by selecting an option under Preview role.
   

If the issue does not occur within the Copenhagen theme, it's likely related to the custom theming code that's applied to the live theme. 

Note: While using this theme preview, the Community will appear even if has been disabled in your settings. It will not be displayed in the live theme.
